help i just ate like 2500cals..will i gain weight if this is a one off?
i have been eating incredibly healthy for over a year and a bit.
((oats/soy milk/raw nuts/fruit/wholemeal bread/no salt-butter etc/variety of veges every night with grilled meats/low fat yogurts/PLENTY of fruit/water/ ETC)
nothing junk..not lollies etc etc you get it.
anyways.
last night i had a craving for chocolate…it was SO strong i couldn’t sleep!
so i got up at 1am and had a few small squares of dark gold chocolate.
today mum bought a white kit kat block of chocolate and a bag of allens lollies party mix.
i ate HALF the kit kat chocolate and basically all the lollies ((ok so you dont get that many in a bag)
anyways that made me slurge more..so i had a few more squares of the dark chocolate and a biscuit.
anyways including my healthy breakfast..and my planned healthy dinner (grilled chicken with veges)
i would be eating nearly 2500+ calories.
i usually only eat around 1600cals.
will i be gaining weight from this????

No, you won’t likely gain weight from the indulgence, if you simply eat a few less calories for the next few days. What the body cares about is the long term intake over several days, even a week- not a one time gourge out, fortunately. Just for your future knowledge, chocolate is not a forbidden food on any sensible diet. It’s not an all you can eat buffet of chocs, but a little of what you crave and like is actually the best way to stick to an otherwise healthy sensible diet. You would probably have felt less urge to gobble a half bag of chocs if you had regularly indulged in small bits. And you wouldn’t have a need to feel guilty afterwards. As it was, you felt like you fell off the nutrition wagon, and once off you may as well go whole hog. That’s what harpoons most dieters. Dark choc is actually good for you, in limited amounts that is. All you need to do is allow for it in your overall diet, that’s all. So, eat lighter for the next few days, and in the future, plan indulgences in so you are less tempted to gobble, oink and beat yourself up later.
