How to organize large cone serger thread?
I would like to hang 48 cones on my wall, but don’t want to build out of dowels and wood from scratch. Any ideas to re-purpose a different item? The “dowel” needs to be about 4″ high and the spacing needs to be about 2.5″ wide. Thread racks don’t work, I know cause I purchased one for my embroidery thread and the small cones fall off all the time – EEK – thanks so much for the ideas.
Forget the dowel rack. The thread will collect dust. I have tried this and know for a fact, that even in a brand new home, there is still dust.
I bought plastic storage cases with drawers for the thread, stabilizer and other assorted notions, where they all remain clean, but still visible and easy to select.
