I need help in choosing fabric for cosplay?
ok so im gonna make an outfit thats really similar to the Naruto ANBU outfit (the vest part) and i was wonder what kind of fabric material would be good to make it.

oh um i dont really wanna ask the people at the fabric store because theyre all old and when i say its for cosplay they always give me a weird look and in the end they dont really help me since they think im joking.....
My advice for choosing the fabric for your vest is to go to the fabric store and ask, tell them what you’re making (or even better show them the picture) and they can suggest the best thing for you.
as for the ears, a short faux fur for the outside.
Edit: I know where you’re coming from, I’ve always been pretty shy when it comes to things like that as well, but they honestly have no right to judge you for what you want to sew. When they ask why, tell them you’re making a costume and leave it at that. Their age only means that they’ve had lots of experience with sewing.
If you don’t want to ask, just go around and look at the fabric yourself, feel it, and decide what you like best.
You want something with no stretch in it, and if it were me i’d look for something a little thicker than just thin cotton.
