Are there any ART SUPPLY manufacturers that make 11″ x 17″ BRISTOL BOARD for illustration / comics?
I can easily find pads of 14″x17″ bristol board but not 11″x17″ cut TABLOID size for illustrating comics. There is the BLUE LINE brand that is made by/for comic book pages but is more costly and has the blue ruling lines already on the pages.
BIG ART brand used to make 11×17 pads of recycled paper at like 80 lb and was vellum finish. They dont make it anymore. It was spiral bound on top.
I can take a 14×17, go to Kinkos, and bribe the guy to cut it on his cutter: .25 cents per page cut.
Any suggestions?
I use the Strathmore paper and I bought a 12×18 paper cutter from Staples and cut it down myself. I used one sheet to make a comic template with a 10 x 15 window so that I didn’t have to rule every page.
